Co-Creating Ideas With Consumers

Monday, May 2, 2022

Co-creating with Creative Agents and Creative-Thinking Consumers provides a fast way of developing or refining early ideas and concepts.  We suggest that you run these sessions to get early feedback to ideas, or to help “kick-start” ideation projects with some fresh thinking.  From 2020, we have enhanced this approach by using an online collaboration tool called Zip-Zap Ideas®.

To see this approach in action, take a look at this short video from a recent 1-day workshop session.

Most workshop sessions are run over a period of 5-6 hours and involve between 12 and 16 delegates who are selected against different creative thinking criteria. Using Zip-Zap Ideas®, delegates are encouraged to evaluate and give comments to early ideas, and to add and refine ideas that they feel are missing. A range of different creative facilitation techniques are also used to encourage broader thinking

The sessions can also be run virtually via our network of Creative Agents. They receive instructions via email and are typically given 1-5 days to review ideas shared by others, and to post their own ideas linked to agreed innovation objectives and key consumer insights. Members of the brand team can also join the sessions to view early ideas or to review feedback.

An important enabler for this approach is Zip-Zap Ideas®, our new online brainstorming tool that makes it faster and easier for teams to share and refine new ideas, both in workshops and for on-the-go brainstorming (that's the "ZIP"). But importantly, Zip-Zap Ideas® gives innovation teams a fast and effective way to evaluate leading ideas with their wider target audience and key stakeholders, to identify and focus on the winning ideas with greatest business potential (that's the "ZAP"). Watch the video below to see how it works.

Zip-Zap Ideas® comes with a FREE Starter package or you can subscribe to other options, including our Unleashed package that comes with full system features and training support. For more information, visit www.zipzapideas.com.

Get in touch if you have any questions or comments - we'd love to hear from you.
